A Place of Beauty, Joy & Inspiration

At Preston Manor, we are devoted to exceeding every hospitality expectation, creating experiences filled with beauty, joy, and inspiration.

With over a century of history, Preston Manor stands as a stunning example of colonial architecture, where timeless heritage meets contemporary sophistication. Its recent transformation honours the estate’s storied past while elevating it to meet the expectations of today’s discerning guests.

The seamless fusion of old-world charm and modern refinement offers visitors a glimpse into the past while providing every comfort of the present.

The Preston Chapel, with its old-world character, accommodates up to 120 guests, offering a romantic and intimate setting for ceremonies and gatherings. Both the Manor and Chapel have been meticulously restored to their former grandeur, exuding elegance, grace, and a true sense of occasion.

A Legacy of Timeless Elegance

At Preston Manor, we take immense pride in our century-long heritage, sharing our story with every guest and infusing each celebration with old-world charm and character.

Both the Preston Manor Homestead and Chapel have been lovingly restored to their former grandeur, allowing us to create meaningful moments and lasting memories within a setting steeped in history and grace.

Originally known as ‘Torrington Homestead’ and built in the 1860s, the Manor features exquisite pine timber floors, hand-dressed walls, and the original iron roof that has stood the test of time. In 1898, the estate underwent significant enhancements, including a full shingle roof, solid cedar front doors with sidelights, and elegantly framed original window details that continue to define its enduring beauty.

Our charming private Chapel, built in 1870 and first known as St. David’s Anglican Church from Omanama near Inglewood, was carefully relocated to Preston in 2006. Today, it stands proudly on the estate as a symbol of love, history, and timeless devotion.
